Community and Outreach

Suara Dance has grown from the Indonesian-Australian community, and remains deeply committed to preserving and honouring Indonesian culture in the diaspora; while also collaborating with other groups keeping their traditional knowledge alive.

Our monthly Suara Soirées are a safe and supportive space for Suara Youth, Friends of Suara, and guest artists, to create, explore and experiment.

Reconnecting Our Connection is an ongoing movement and dance initiative exploring historical and current connections between Indigenous Australia and Indonesia.

ASYIK for Kids is a day long family fun day for everyone, celebrating Indonesian arts, community and culture.
