RAPAI

Rapai is a percussion musical instrument from Aceh. It is played with the right hand. A Rapai is made with a wooden frame and a goat skin, held tight with rattan. Rapai is played as a solo instrument, and as a background for dancing.

KENDANG SUNDA

Kendang Sunda is a double headed drum from West Java. The Kendang is played by sitting on the floor with two hands or with a stick in one hand.The heel of the foot is used to change the tone of the kendang on one side and the hand can also create different sounding beats.

TALEMPONG PACIK

Talempong Pacik is from West Sumatera. It consists of five or six brass gongs, held in the hand. It is usually played by three performers, using wooded sticks to hit the gongs. Talempong is usually used to accompany traditional dances from Minangkabau, and to announce important guests, or the bride in a wedding ceremony.
